My DS has decided that he wants to cluster feed from about 6pm to 10pm. I feel like my breasts are empty! Then he does this wonderful yanking on my nipple, I guess to try and get more milk out? It's great that he sleeps after 10 for longer stretches (3-4 hours) so I get a good night's sleep, but in the morning I am so full he can barely handle all of the milk...then by the evening I feel like I'm dried up and he gets frustrated! Is this going to balance itself out or is there something I should be doing other than letting him nurse on demand during these marathon nursing sessions?

It will all balance out and your boobies will get used to it, I promise. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/hug.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="hug"><br><br>
Cluster feedings are a sign of growing, and while they can be annoying sometimes, they of course are necessary.<br><br>
Keep up the good work mama <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/thumb.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="thumbs up">

Evening cluster feeding is annoying but also really, really common. Hang in there, your supply will adjust after awhile. It sounds like you're doing great <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/smile.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="smile">
