DS is 3.5 months, does not yet sleep through the night, but is so good about going right back to sleep after eating that he may as well be sleeping through. My question is about the daytime. He usually only sleeps for 15 minutes at a nap and does that for about every 2 hours if not less more often. Every few days will be great with a good hour+ nap twice in the day and another in the evening, but those are rare.

So, is there such thing as cluster napping? Is that just something to expect for this age?

I should have added... of course, he does sleep for 2 and three hour stretches if I'm napping with him.

Yup, my ds does this as well. DD did it also. I've tried wearing him in the sling but he still naps the same amount of time so I figure that's what he needs & wants. I would love to have a good hour long nap but I don't think it's in the cards for us. I tried the NCSS to see if I could increase his nap length from 20-40 min to an hour. No dice....he is a great night time sleeper & I'll take that any day
