Ok, I know I read a similar question a week ago or so but now I cannot find it. This may be TIF for some of you so sorry in advance. Ok I have lots of EWCM with a hint of brown. Now I think I am close to Oing here is my <a href="http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/2e5c92" target="_blank">chart</a>.<br><br>
My question is, is this really EWCM or is just because DH and I DTD late last night. I have checked myself 3 times and it is still there but could it just be from last night? Let me know what you think so I can put it in FF.<br><br>

a very common question, and not always an easy one. dh's contribution and ewcm look a lot alike. when i am checking cm and we dtd the day before, i try to check as long after as possible- like if we dtd when we went to bed the night before, i will check before i go to bed that night, so it's like 24 hrs after.<br><br>
there is a test they say you can do if you arent sure. ive never done this, but they say get what you think is the mucous on your fingers and dip them into water. if it's ew, it will ball up and then sink. or, if you roll it around in your fingers and it gums up and dries fairly quickly, it's probably semen. ew will stay around longer and keep stretching, where his contribution may stretch a little bit at first, but shouldnt stretch much or for long. usually, too, ew is completely clear, and his stuff will be a little grey or white or yellowish, although i have heard women here say their ew has some color to it, but i know mine is totally clear and dh's semen isnt.<br><br>
probably the toughest call is when you've got ew and semen mixed! ha! that could make you bonkers trying to figure that out. if you really cant tell what it is, call it ew and consider yourself in the fertile window until you can determine otherwise.

Thanks for you input. Yes It actually balled up in the toiled. I will keep checking every time I use the restroom. It was a strange color from what it is usually but this is my first cycle without mirena and I can not remember how it was 4 years ago. I will definately DTD just in case. It is very stretchy by the way. I got it to stretch an arms length almost. I was starting to get a little watery last night and my sex drive jumped so maybe your right maybe its DH and cm?? Also, I think if you try to stretch it and it breaks easily then you know it's semen. Semen doesn't have the same ability to stretch. I think.

disagree- they are accurate. you have to use them the right way though. your opk should be positive 12-48 hrs before you o. so if you o on cd14 usually, you would want to start checking by cd 9 or so, just in case you o a day or 2 earlier than you think, and in case yours go pos the longer time before the o. for me, i o about 36 hrs after the first of two +s, or about 24 hrs if i only have 1 + opk. you will get to know your pattern. to be positive, the test line has to be AT LEAST as dark as the control line. you should test between noon and 8pm, not fmu. you may have to test twice a day. i usually start with once in the afternoon, then as they get darker and my cm/cp is looking real good, then i switch to twice a day. some ladies do 3 times a day, especially if they have short surges so that they wont miss it. my favorite ones are the internet cheapies. you can get them for like 30 cents a piece and they work great.

Thanks Karmab!! I just ordered 25 of them off of this website I got from another girl here. I got 25 OPK and 10 prego tests for like 25.00 plus free shipping. I will see how they work and the more I buy the cheaper they are. I know I can get the dollar tree tests a little cheaper than this website so I may just buy the OPK test there. <a href="http://www.early-pregnancy-tests.com/" target="_blank">HERE</a> is the website if anyone is needing to find a cheap place for tests.
