I need to know more about having a toddler in the same room as you and dh! How do you get, um, "alone" time? Do you just wait 'til your little one is asleep?

My dd seems SO much happier this morning after I let her sleep in dh's spot around 5am when she woke (for the third time). She's a totally happy, much more independent (not clingy and grumpy like usual morning time with her) kid! I love it!

And I think we could even "get away" with her not being IN our bed - but simply putting her bed in our room I think she'd sleep better. When I go put her back to bed she's fine as long as mom or dad is in the room with her - she can be laying on her bed and I can be in the rocking chair or sitting next to the bed so I think she'd be OK with sleeping in our room, but in her bed.

I am also concerned about the new baby coming in about 8 weeks, give or take, and if the baby crying will wake her - but I think it would wake her and upset her more if she's in her own room still. If she's in the room with us she may wake but knowing we are there she may go back to sleep, I'm theorizing.

I NEED to hear if you have a toddler situated in their bed in your room, especially if you ALSO have a baby in there too! AND... I'll have to convince my dh to at least try it out - soon - before it's close to baby day
