Ok, I am just discovering coconut oil and my petite 4-year-old DS likes it so much he'll eat it off a spoon. After 2 weeks, his color and energy have both improved. He does not drink cow's milk or dairy and he dislikes avocado so I see this as a potentially good source of fat in his diet. Right now, he is taking 1 tsp of Nordic Naturals CLO, 1 tsp of Udo's Oil and 1/2 tsp of coconut oil a day. Does this sound like a good health-promoting balance? How much coconut oil a day is beneficial?

Thanks!

That sounds great to me!
Especially if you're noticing improvement in health.

sounds like this is great to me also, the ratios sound good. i really wouldn't worry about how much is too much with the Coconut oil as it doesn't have the blood thinning fx of fish and CLO. you can add it to smoothies for him as well, and if he doesn't like avocado he may like avocado banana pudding b/c it just tastes like banana. you just add 1 pt avocado to 1 pt banana, a little water or yogurt and blend it. really good.

That sounds good to me, and if it is helping his health...well if it's working, don't change it.
