i personally think cod liver oil is miles better - flax seed oil goes rancid very quickly, plus it doesnt conatin the omega 3s EPA and DHA - only ALA. in other words the omega quality of CLO is much better.
Plus, extracting oil from flaxseeds is a very new thing - humans have not traditionally eaten flaxseed oil, so i would be wary of it

We use both. My daughter and I take CLO medicinally in the mornings. She takes it for food allergies that result in skin rashes. I take it to improve my skin and hopefully reduce acne break outs. The flaxseed oil, because it tastes MUCH better than the CLO, is great to be used drizzled over pasta before finishing dinner preps, or to be used in salad dressings.
