Colloidal silver- Good or bad in correct doses? Just wondering if anyone has any experience with it. My mom says she would put it in our ears for ear infections and is suggesting I do the same with my son. Online it looks like people have been kept healthy taking it orally but it also appears to be controversial.

I have used it for pink eye and I would have no problem using it for an ear infection.<br><br>
Garlic infused olive oil also works well for ear infections. Crush a couple cloves and place it in about 1/4 cup of olive oil. Warm it up over a double boiler for a few minutes to infuse the oil. You can keep the oil in the fridge for about a week. Warm the oil to body temp and place a few drops in the ear 3 times a day.

I also would have no issues with using it for an ear infection or liberally for any external reason. Internally I will only use it for acute situations. It kills off good gut flora, like antibiotics can do, so long term use is not advisable IMO.<br><br>
