Does anyone know from research/experience:

If you get pregnant while breastfeeding- all the way up to delivery, does the colostrum come in still for your new baby?

And a question just beyond that...Does the body make twice as much milk?

Breastfeeding is fascinating! Such a miracle, huh?

I actually researched this because I'm pregnant and nursing.

Many mothers find a reduced milk supply during pregnancy.

Colostrum will come in even if you are still nursing, usually well before birth. Many toddlers like it.

Your body will make as much milk as needed to meet the demand, so the more nursing, the more milk.

Breastmilk is always made for the youngest baby. So yeah, you get colostrum.

Yes! You will make colostrum until you deliver your placenta and then your milk will come in. And, you will make enough milk for both children.

My milk supply dropped as I got further along and then the colostrum came in a littleover halfway through the pg. MY milk came back a couple of days after I gave birth. I make plenty of milk for my 2.5 yo and 5 mo and they are both thriving! It's all supply and demand, baby!
