i had colostrum early on in my first pg, but with no. 2 i had nada until maybe a week or two before delivery. so i was concerned, but had no problems with bf, so this time around, i won't worry so much. good for you though! seeing that can really ease your mind about milk supply!

Shockingly, I've had mine for about 3 or so weeks now. Someone else had posted a thread about this a little while ago, and until I read it, I had never even known to check (this is my first).
As excited as I was to find out that "they work" too, my husband didn't think it was as neat when he saw me trying one time... haha! I think I startled him.

Wow- that is great!
:

I had not thought about this yet...I wonder when I will get mine!! I did not notice any with my first pregnancy until after delivery and I did not have any problems with bf. But I wonder if it is different with a second pregnancy?

I expressed something out of mine last night for the first time and I was so excited I screamed for DH to come see.

But it didn't look like colustrum! This was clear and I tasted it (is that gross, lol?) and it was like salt water. Yuck. What IS it??

I can get a little oily-clearish looking fluid out at this point. It doesn't surprise me though because my breasts continued to make milk for over a year after I weaned my son. However, I didn't get any colostrum at all until after I gave birth the first time. I had a really painful time nursing, but always made tons of milk.

Good luck nursing this time around. You CAN do it!

yay mine work agian too! DS weaned 4 months ago and they dried up in two weeks. Last night before my bath they were leaking. I told Dh "Look!" "Look!" and he was like "shhh ds will hear you!" lol Dh thought that they might be making milk agian because DS has been "feeling" them alot lately. and snuggles to them at night agian. I really dont want him to nurse agian so were trying to keep it on the down low lol.

Is anyone else's DH/DP really frightened by your breasts now?

I'm feeling so hurt. I was a single mama when I nursed my last and I thought things would be fine, but my DH is really grossed out by colostrum and/or milk...anything...coming out of my breasts. He doesn't even want to touch them anymore. I cried myself to sleep over it last night, mostly b/c I'm pregnant and emotional, but it really hurts my feelings.

I guess I just wanted one of those husbands who is really curious and excited about the milk flow. One of my pregnant mama friends has a husband who can't wait for her to get milk...call it Freudian if you want, but I think it's nice that her husband still wants hers.

I too was a single mother when I nursed my first son. However, I met my husband just before I weaned him at 3.5 years. For some reason he doesn't seem to have a problem with breastmilk, but he has had a really hard time with my growing belly. It's pretty common for guys to be weirded out about such things. It still does suck though!

This morning I was making kissy noises at one of my kitties and low behold, I was like "What the heck".... a wet spot appeared on my shirt!! I just started going OMG and went and woke up my husband and asked him to see if he could tell what looks wrong with my clothes. I kind of hope this isn't a regular thing now.
