Help!, I am searching for at least a starter list of "safe" foods for a child starting a colour elimination diet.

Here in Canada, ingredients are listed only as containing "colour" not the specific colour kwim? Are there any tips or rules of thumb to help getting around that?

Also where can I find some good resources on the topic of food colouring colour and behaviour?

Any sucsess stories or tips that you could share?

(hoping this is the correct forum)

TIA

I think that most whole food are free of colors. Can you give some examples of what he likes to eat, then we can give you any red flags to look for?

I agree with a traditional whole foods diet.
Our dc do not eat anything with dyes or colors added: and we eat a traditional whole foods diet, and have never found it difficult to avoid dyes.

i think it's easiest to just avoid all colors... but i think that red 40 is one that is definately linked to behavioral changes in children.
