I got my serger...I got my serger...oh yeah...oh yeah...I got my serger...

Now to throw the kids into bed so I can play with it!

I have to say - wow, this thing moves quickly! I wasn't ready for the speed of this sucker. And can I say - God Bless Sears for having it pre-threaded in the box, so I just took it out, followed the stitch guide setting poster thing to get the stitch I wanted, and started sergering.

This will take some practice, but I'm already happy with some of my serging.

Now I have to explain to my 9 year old that pound cake is not an acceptable breakfast food

Hooray! I know you'll have a blast with it!

What do you mean, pound cake isn't a good breakfast? It has protein (eggs) and carbs (flour) - just top it w/some fresh fruit, add a glass of milk, & you're good to go! :LOL

The problem with pound cake for breakfast is that I'd have to stay with the little sugared up child as he bounced off walls - and if I let him have pound cake, then his brother would have to have some, then his sisters would have to have some, then I'd have four kids bouncing off the walls.

And they've been doing enough damage w/o a sugar-filled start to the day...
