My Dh is having knee surgery right now. Here at home I was putting a table next to the couch to make things easily accesssible for him.<br>
Some things my DD has added to the table;<br>
Coloring books<br>
Toilet paper<br>
Books (hers)<br>
toys<br>
and zip loc bags (so daddy doesn't have to get up to get them)<br><br><br>
BTW..She is also helping put toys and stuff that was on the floor away so daddy wont trip. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/heartbeat.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="heartbeat"><br><br><br><br><br>
BTW...she has never voluntarily put away a toy in her life <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/lol.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="lol"><br><br>

That is sweet. I love the ziploc bit!<br><br>
My 8yr old dd and I go to a really sweet hairdresser. He is always so patient with her and listens to all her ramblings (she *does* ramble, I say this with love) and he styles her hair the way she wants it.<br><br>
Today, I got my bangs/fringe trimmed and she got in the chair to have her hair done next. She told him she wanted it short short short in the back cuz it's hot on her neck and she wanted fringe like mine. He styled the back and she chattered on and on and he got to hear all about our cat, Pokemon, and Garfield...As soon as he cut just the tiniest bit in the front, she squealed "oooooohhh ahhhhh I'm so cuuuuute" and he just laughed out loud cuz it was so adorable. She loves her haircut and she always makes him feel really good <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/smile.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="smile"> He gives us both hugs when we leave and says she just makes his day.

Aw....<br><br>
I'm just getting over strep throat. I was really bad yesterday. I would go lie down on my bed and she would come in an close the door so "I won't disturb momma". (Dh was home.)<br><br>
My mother is blind, and when we visit her or she visits us, my kids, who normally leave toys strewn all over, are very, very careful about leaving things out when she's around.<br><br>
It's amazing how caring they can be!
