My favorite work shoes have apparently been discontinued! Do you ladies have suggestions for comfortable and attractive non-slip black shoes? My only other requirements are that they can't have an open back and they can't lace up.<br><br>
Price isn't really an issue, and I will be buying them online since there are NO shoe stores near me other than Kohl's/Walmart/Target.

Keens are really comfy as is Merrill. I also just bought a pair of sandals made by Sofft and they are soooo comfy! I know you can't wear sandals but I can't imagine their regular shoes would be all that different. I know a lot of people really like Dansko but I haven't had all that good of luck with them. I'd recommend poking around at Zappos.com, their return policy is excellent.

I live in my merrell jungle mocs. Attractive they aren't, so I would poke around onlineshoes.com to see what there is that might be cute. I boycott Zappos because they actually sent me shoes that were dirty and had hair in them <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/shake.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="shake"><br><br>
And if that doesn't work, what do you think about crocs?

Ok so not the cutest, but by far they are the most comfortable shoes that I have ever worn as a waitress I could not work the long hours that I do without my <b><a href="http://www.crocs.com/crocs-bistro/10075,default,pd.html" target="_blank">Bistro Crocs</a></b>. They have the classic Crocs strap in the back, and the classic Croc look. But OMG they are the only thing I can wear for 12 hours, they are kitchen approved & even grip on an oily kitchen floor.

I just got a pair of Keen sandals, and even with the foot problems I have, they are the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned. Now I want Keen shoes, boots, sneakers, etc. I've been wondering what the big deal is with them and now I totally get it.

Keen makes a really cute mary jane shoe. They go on quickly and easily, and back when I was working I would frequently wear them to my shifts (I worked at a pizza joint), so I know they're a good all day shoe.<br><br>

I have their ballerina flats, and the patent is too shiny - looks like plastic. But they are comfortable and extremely non-slip. I was thinking about getting the <a href="http://www.shoesforcrews.com/sfc3/index.cfm?changeWebsite=US_en&route=c_store.viewDetailsOfProduct&partnumber=3603" target="_blank">Mary Janes</a>, and then I discovered Earth Shoes.<br>
I have the <a href="http://www.zappos.com/earth-simplista-almond-calf" target="_blank">Simplista</a> in almond, and they are my favorite shoes ever. But I've only walked a lot in them - I don't have to stand a lot.

Thank you for all of the awesome suggestions! I actually found my original shoes on Zappo's after starting this thread ... not sure how I missed them before! I usually get Merrells, but after seeing all of those cute Keens, I'm reconsidering. Thank you!!

yup, I love my dansko's too. (though now that I've been going barefoot except at work... it's a lot of support to adjust to...)
