Hi Everybody:

Well, today I had my 20 week u/s (late...I thought I was 24 weeks), and the u/s tech moved my due date up to 8/16. My original due date was 9/01...but I assumed I'd be delivered the week prior due to diabetes...so now it's even earlier than I expected.

For some reason, I am so not ready to be this far along. Now, I actually have to get busy with all of my decluttering and stuff... and pull out my Hypnobabies.

Anyways, just wanted to say "hi".

Oh.. my name is UmSami (which means Mother of Sami, my eldest son). I have three kids, two boys 6 and 4, and one little girl who will be 3 in July.

Welcome! I understand how disconcerting it can be to have your schedule rearranged like that. As hot as it already is here, though, I think I'd be overjoyed at having 2 fewer weeks of being an incubator, but I'd also be stressing at what still needs to get done!

That happened to me with my 4th pregnancy. I found out at my 19 week ultrasound I was actually 21 weeks. I felt totally panicked about losing 2 weeks of time to prepare for baby. Welcome to August!

I had the moving due date with DD #1. First it was October 10, then October 20, then November 5, then November 30....they really couldn't make up their minds. I wasn't sure that I was thrilled they kept making me preggers longer. I'm not that keen on the whole thing. In the end, she came the second week of November, somewhere close to the average of all the different dates they gave me. Welcome to August!

Thanks everybody.

I'm not sure what to do about the moving due date. I asked my midwife if it was accurae... as everything I've heard is that later due dates are not accurate for dating. She said at this point, the baby is still pretty skinny, so they're looking at stuff like femur length and such.

I've decided that this baby may come in August sometime...or may hold off until September. But hopefully I can get things ready for an August delivery.

Welcome to August! My due date has been bouncing around a bit as well - between July and August. I'm just going to keep chugging along and have 'em when it's time
