i'm not as educated as some of the other mamas.......I do know that they dont use them to make a stronger immune system, they are designed to build up antibodies (the live vaccines) and the otherones are made of antibodies or something similar to give fake immunity..........even though both immunitys arn't as good as you having it naturally.

I had the same thing hib is designed to vax for as a baby over 20yrs ago, and i'm still here.

He is absolutely and completely wrong. Live virus vaccines cause a mild infection, so that the body will develop immunity. It doesn't always work that way, but there was never a vaccine developed that was made solely to "prime" the immune system or make it stronger. That simply isn't true. The reason he's a hard one to convince isn't that his wife's an ER nurse, it's because he has ZERO understanding of vaccines and the way they work. If his wife is telling him that stuff, she wasn't paying attention when they covered vaccines in nursing school.

As far as military personnel bringing illness to America, well sure, it might be happening. The thing is, if it were a problem, all the babies too young to be vaccinated would be dying of the diseases they're supposed to be bringing back. Think of how many soldiers come home to meet their newborn babies for the first time. Thousands of men come home, meeting babies from a few weeks to a few months old - too young to have been vaccinated - giving them whatever germs they're carrying. It's obviously irrelevant, or there would be a huge outbreak of disease among unvaccinated babies. There isn't. That's evidence enough.
