If I one is really lazy (ahem, me), can one use store bought organic buttermilk, yogurt, or kefir for soaking grains? I'm going to try the NT breakfast porridges as me first step into grinding my own grains.

Of course you can! It's perfectly NT, and there's no shame or laziness in shortcuts. If we did everything from scratch all the time, there'd be no time for modern life!
