Comparison: Glamourmom vs. Motherhood nursing tanks?

Just wondering if anyone has done a direct comparison between the two . . .

My mother brought me a couple of the Target nursing tanks while I was in the hospital, but they were TERRIBLE--the boob holes were spaced so closely that the outside edge of the hole hit me RIGHT on the outside of each nipple, and put a lot of uncomfortable pressure on my breasts (and my milk hadn't even come in at that point!). I took a look at a different line of nursing tanks (similar style) in the breastfeeding resources shop at the hospital, but they seemed to have the same problem.

I picked up a couple of Glamourmom tanks and LOVE them, but they are really expensive . . . Motherhood has similar tanks for MUCH less, and I'm just wondering if anyone has worn them and loved (or hated) them?

I can't compare. But I did own a few Motherhood tops, and they fell apart within a few wearings. I contacted them (I ordered them online) and they refunded me even before they got them back, that's how common that complaint was....

I'm a huge miser, but I think the glamourmoms are worth it 100%. Motherhood tanks shrink a lot and the fabric isn't as nice. Plus they run really big so I can't even get a size that fits me. Also, the motherhood boob openings are ginormous so that my whole boob sticks out, not very discreet.
I just bought a Glamourmom top two days ago and I've worn it pretty much since I brought it home.
It's been totally comfortable the entire time and there's even enough support for me, and I'm a D/DD.

I've never owned a Motherhood one because the ones I tried on in the store didn't have enough support and the straps were uncomfortable on my shoulders after only a few minutes. I do have a sleeveless nursing top from Motherhood (it's got two layers and the bottom shirt has nursing openings) and I love it.

I bought a couple of the motherhood ones the boob openings WERE huge and the mediums stayed big and the smalls shrunk so that none of them really fit. I used them though.

I'm thinking about getting the glamourmom ones this time around..
All right; looks like I will be saving my money for the Glamourmom tanks!
Although I DO think that some of the other nursing shirts at Motherhood are fairly cute . . . but then again, I absolutely fell in love with Expressiva's line of nursing wear as well. (*chuckle*)

BTW, for those of you who are looking to purchase Glamourmom tanks . . . you can get them for only $35.95 at www.mommy2reese.com, and they do free shipping on orders over $50. Not a LOT cheaper than other retail sites, but every penny helps!

I have several glamourmom tanks (I've scrimped and saved to buy each one) and they are awesome. They hold up so well under constant use and I mean CONSTANT use. I wash mine every time I wear them due to thrush issues and they're still in great shape. Sure, the black's fading a little now, but what black shirt wouldn't fade when washed in super hot water 2 times a week?

I didn't even bother trying on the motherhood brand tanks. Their small shirts didn't fit me even when I was nine months pregnant and were always super baggy and horrible looking on me. Besides, I hate motherhood's info mining policies.

However, I did find a very cute nursing shirt there that is kind of dressy. It's a black spaghetti strap tank made out of slinky polyester material. I really like wearing it when we go out on a date and it covers up really well. http://www.motherhoodnursing.com/Pro...tegory_Id=2002

I have two Motherhood ones, and I never wear them. They are too wide and too short for me. I should try the Glamour mom ones.

VERY cute top, Milk Maker!

While we're discussing cute nursing tops, I found another one at Motherhood that looks fairly dressy and comfy . . . http://www.motherhoodnursing.com/Pro...tegory_Id=2002
I wish I would have found this thread sooner... I just got two of the Motherhood tanks, most of their nursing stuff seemed crappily made, but the tanks seemed alright. I wore one today and the left strap seems like it is coming unsewn. Great. I am super-cheap and can't believe I'm ready to spend $50 for a tank top. Where, aside from online do you find the Glamourmom tops?
I am in a yahoo co-op group that you can get the tops for $29CAD (about $25 US). Shipping runs like $6 usually. I will post a message asking if it's ok for me to spread the word about the group and get back to you all.
Great! I can post the link. The group is here

Thank you Kathryn... turns out I was already a member of that group but had messages going to an old email address!
How often does she offer GlamourMom orders?

Glamourmom also has an incentive program on their site. You sign up with them as a "glamourmom" and get a code. Then give the code to other mamas. If they buy them under your code, you earn free shirts. Once you have three tops purchased under your code, you earn a free one! Pretty cool, since its a great product to promote anyhow!

I don't know actually. I've done two with her. E-mail her and ask, she's very sweet and answers super quick.

I just go my first Glamourmom top. VERY well made and comfortable. However, the openings in the bra part are on the smaller side (I am used to a big open sling type opening) and they are way to the side. I am finding that the openings are to far to the side and have to push them over when I nurse. Do others have this problem?? I have the bra top tank, not the plain tank.

I have this problem, too. It was especially a problem when I was using a nipple shield, so I actually preferred the Target tanks.
Ohh, Ohh, Ohh, Thanks Kathryn- I want to order 2 for this summer! I will have to e-mail her when I get home (can't access it from the school computers)
