Hello everyone!

We have our 28 month old DD in a Complete Air. The harness straps are really close together in the neck. I can't afford to get another seat. We also have a Graco MyRide65, which my 4 month old is in. My 28 month old is so tall and pretty close to the top of the shell in the MyRide (though i haven't checked her recently, I'd imagine she'd have only a few months left in it if we were to switch her to it).

I really do NOT want to forward face her now.

I have tried pulling up the collar of her shirt (like a turtle neck) so that the straps don't rub, but she still says it pinches her (and it is pretty tight IMO).

WWYD in this situation?

I don't thing the baby socks thing would work.. I pull the collar of her shirt up between her neck and the strap so that it doesn't rub.

I really wanted to keep her rear facing at least until she turns three (she's pretty tall). I'll see how long she'll let me keep her rfing.. but she complains during the entire ride.

I don't understand how the straps will rub any less if she is FF. ( I may just be missing something so please explain )

well they are manufactured for britax seats, not after market. would it be terrible to use on a different seat?
Posted via Mobile Device

Terrible is, IMO, probably too strong a descriptor, but it is not okay to use anything with the seat that is not specifically approved for use with *that* seat. Britax pads are not meant to be used with a Dorel seat.

Katie- sorry for not clarifying! If I had to, I'd switch my 4mo and my 28mo. My 4mo is RF in a MyRide, and my 28mo won't fit RF in the MyRide much longer- She has a very tall torso. I give her a few months in it-maximum. She'd fit in the Complete Air much longer rear facing, but the strap issue is kind of hindering that. I'd have to put my 2yo in the MyRide and she'd likely have to FF before she turns 3. I'd put my 4 month old rear facing in the Complete Air.

O, thanks for clarifying, I knew I was missing something lol. If pulling her shirt up helps her feel more comfortable I would try the sock trick.

If that doesn't help her feel more comfortable I would try her out in the Graco and see who much growing room she has left. Luckily they really seem to slow down growing by that age.

Thanks. Hopefully she'll have some room left in it.. she's hitting a growth spurt right now though! She's been eating more than my DH!
