Okay, so I usually hang out in Life with a Babe or Diapering, but I'm now trying to both simplify and detoxify my cleaning cabinet. I've been looking at recipes here, and I was trying to make a list of the basic ingredients that I need to get so I can get going on this. This is what I have so far:

* lotsa white vinegar
* lotsa baking soda
* tea tree oil
* orange eo
* borax?
* castile soap?
* a few spray bottles

Any suggestions on this list? On good places to start? I have to admit, I have a closet full of Lysol and Clorox products
, so this is very new!

Also, good ready-made products? I'm in Seattle, so I have lots of choices...just not sure what to get.

Thank you!!!

I only ever use vinegar, baking soda, and tea tree oil. I use the vinegar straight from the bottle for counters, sinks, mirrors, the toilet, etc. I use baking soda and vinegar to clean the toilet bowl. Baking soda to scrub the tub and shower, and the sinks if they need more scrubbing than vinegar alone will do.

The tea tree oil I use in the laundry - a few drops in diapers, underwear, towels, and sheets every few washes.
