a few days ago some people were looking for computer programs for toddlers. i just found the sesame street website, and my 18 month olds and i were looking at it for a while. there are games, music, printable pages for coloring. it was pretty cool, just thought i would share.

pbs.org has a bunch of cool stuff, so does nickjr.com and playhousedisney.com. I think there's a discovery kids' ready, set, learn website, too.

I'm trying to limit how much marketing hoopla crossover there is between what DD sees, reads, and plays with.

Here's a few of our more non-commercial favorites, mostly used with grandma when she's worn out from chasing the kiddo up and down the stairs:
http://www.uptoten.com/home.phtml (love, love love the snail race)

http://www.meddybemps.com/funandgames.html (get a lot of mileage out of the pet store game)

http://www.bbc.co.uk/nature/reallywild/wildfile/ (the BBC also has a station for small children that is fun)

http://www.nationalgeographic.com/dinorama/

http://www.photolib.noaa.gov/

http://www.kfai.org/ (look in the archives, they have an independent kids program that you can listen to online.)

Grandma and Nellie love the teletubbies link on PBS.org, but it irritates the heck out of me. I love the Wayne's word game in the Between the Lions section, though.
