I saw this on another board I belong to and boy is this little exercise ever cathartic! Post your 'confessions' and feel better knowing that we all make mistakes!

-I forgot my prenatal this morning, and don't care because they still make me gag.
-I was up until midnight doing a crossword puzzle last night and didn't get enough sleep.
-I am being laz-y about potty training my 3 year old.
-I am CRAVING a glass of chardonnay!
-I need to find a new job, but don't really care if I find one.
-I ate a turkey pastrami sandwich (aren't cold-cuts bad?) and it was delicious.
-I drank a can of Pepsi today.
-I cleaned out the poo-boxes because DH is lazy about it and they stink.
-I think I need bigger bras again and I'm in denial.

LOL! Hope you're all having a wonderful day!

I get snarky with DH when he offers to lift or carry something heavy. It's sweet, but I'm not an invalid (yet!).

I'm not even trying to cut down on the caffeine this time around.

If you heard how often I talk about wanting a beer, you'd think I'm an alcoholic (I never want something so badly as when I can't have it)

I'm scheduled to work through the end of June, but I've pretty well started in-cube retirement.
4
Hmm, where to begin...

I also get snippy with dh when he tells me I shouldn't do something, umm, I still pick up my 30 lb toddler a thousand times a day!

I haven't cut back on caffiene this time either and I don't feel bad, it's the only thing that keeps my awful migraines away.

I don't want to sort and wash the newborn clothes.

I just now called our CPA to have our taxes prepared.

Ds has grown out of 2 pairs of tennis shoes that he still wants to wear and I let him sometimes (just for a few hours.)

I applied for a new job within my company, interviewed for it, and still haven't told the dr's I work for.

I refuse to tell work how long I'll be gone on maternity leave for fear they will replace me. (I know that's not legal.)

I still eat lunchmeat on rare occasion and don't feel guilty about it. but, I still won't let my 2.5 yo eat it for the very reason I shouldn't.

That I don't like some of my co-workers because they talk badly about a mama here who co-sleeps with her 2yo (and we co-sleep with our ds too.) Why is it their business?

Sometimes, just sometimes, I do things just to tick my MIL off since she does it to me so often. For instance, I'm not much of a home decorator for Holidays (Christmas, Easter, Valentine's Day, etc.) MIL LOVES to decorate for all the holidays and it drives her batty that I don't. So, I don't decorate for any Holiday except Christmas!

Well, that's it so far!

ok, I have to at least confess to the cold cut thing cause I didn't even know there was anything wrong with them!!! What the hell is wrong with coldcuts?!?! There goes lunch!
I need bigger bras too but am in denial.

DH and I made a no caffeine no decaf coffee agreement. I've snuck three decafs and desperately want another.

I ate a salami sandwich while I was babysitting for a 3 year old. (I haven't had meat for ten years.) Worse than that, it was delicious.

Umm, that's enough for now.

I can't even get started because I am already pure evil in comparison to all you high priestesses.

No priestesses here! Just humans doing what we can to get by. Let loose. We want to hear it -- just start with three......Or maybe just tell us the funniest one you can think of. Go Karma!

I have not done one single bit of exercise this pregnancy, and I don't plan to start anytime soon.

Not only do I sometimes crave a beer, I go right ahead and have that glass of stout.

And don't even talk to me about a piffle like caffeine! Cutting out my daily cup of joe is on the list somewhere after waxing DH's rectal hair.

I am way more excited about this baby, just because it's a girl, than I ever was about DS before he was born. (this is the only SHAMEFUL confession I've got.) Hey, dammit, this is MY turn to deck an unsuspecting child in pink and ruffles. The Promised Land.

Although I'm STILL not really showing, I've switched to maternity clothes, just so people will know that I'm friggen halfway there already.

Listeriosis hasn't even made my "List of Things to Obsess About" this time round.

Oh, and I'm sure there are SO many more. LOL. Y'all cannot even comprehend the depths of depravity in which I gestate.

Thank you, now we're getting a little closer to my level of pure evil. I have a glass of wine of a beer every couple weeks, but I really really can't wait to have like....3 or 4 at a time
I miss my wine

And caffeine, please. PUHlease. NO time to count milligrams, I got kids to watch

And I might as well be sentenced to a life in purgatory for the number of time I have uttered the words I HATE BEING PREGNANT, either because I watch the numbers on the scale go up after so much work to get them down, or because I cant' wear cool pants or because my husband has that muchloved Madonna/Whore complex and no longer regards me as the whore I am

*sigh* now I feel better. Thanks Ursula

I too indulge in one glass of beer or wine sometimes. Once I did it twice in one week, with a big meal though. And you know what, I don't even feel bad because I think that the American idea of complete abstaining is over the top. Like the PP sometimes I can't wait until I can have a couple, although I'm pretty satisfied with one for now.

I ate a whole bag of cadbury's mini eggs in just a few days.

I've been eating meat. I don't eat meat!

Thank you. I didn't want to say it! I exercised through my first 2 pregnancies, and have honestly been too sick to exercise for most of this one. But now that I'm feeling "eh", I feel like I should, but I know I won't. Maybe a few walks between now and August...certainly walks around the supermarket for more Twizzlers, potato chips, and Soy Delicious Peanut Butter Zig Zag.

I bought a chocolate bar for a gift....and it didn't make it home from the grocery store.

I certainly wouldn't turn down a glass of wine this pregnancy. Though I remember being paranoid because I'd COOKED with wine before knowing I was pregnant with #1, LOL.

I too HATE being pregnant. And I announce it all the time.

Mmm... evil confessions.

1. I refuse to go to the dentist. I brush 2-3 times a day and floss once per day, but I hate the dentist and just don't think the stress to me and tadpole is worth it.
2. I drink a cup of instant coffee per day. Or else.
3. I refuse to eat my beef any blacker than medium. What's the point?
4. I keep waking up on my back with my heart pounding in my ears and down my spine. Sometimes I can't make myself stay on my side.
5. I am lucky if I walk for 30 minutes a week, much less per day. I was extremely active before being pregnant, but my instinct is to rest, nest and read.
6. If something disappoints or saddens me, my first reaction is to indulge myself by going to oldnavy.com and buying a couple of shirts. At $9.99 per shirt, how can you not?
7. Every day I pull out our 3 bits of baby clothes and socks and just hold them and giggle.
8. I love being pregnant, and I absolutely can't wait to have an enormous belly.
I know mine is not going to sound so bad to most of you. I don't drink alcohol or coffe or I'm sure they'd be on my list! But my confession is that I've eaten CRAPPY for 9 weeks. I can blame a lot of it on being on bedrest and dh having to buy easy food for the kids to fix for me. I'd had one too many soggy tuna sandwiches! Anyway, I'm sick to death of pizza, hot pockets and corn dogs. Especially the corn dogs. Ugh, hot dogs! Oh, and the chocolate consumtion is out of this world. When all you do it lay around and get tempted by tv commercials you tend to crave chocolate alllllll the time. I've already had an almond snickers (yummy) and it's only 8:00 am! LOL Dh brought it home last night and he left it on the bed next to me. What can you do when you wake up with an almond snickers staring at you! LOL
  1. My kids are watching WAY too much TV because I am too tired and headachey most of the time
  2. I take baths that are very, very hot because it is the only thing that relaxes my body
  3. I eat whatever I am craving which includes: hotdogs, McD's, potato chips and dip, diet coke, a tray of brownies and finishing ds's birthday cake...
  4. I am already a 40J and am terrified I won't find any nursing bras that I can wear
  5. The house is crawling with bugs [yes the really yucky kind] this spring and I refuse to let Dh use toxins so ...
I'm sure there is more ...

My midwife told me it is fine for me to have a glass of wine or beer once a week or so. She said that the key is moderation and many Americans don't know how to drink in moderation so doctors tell all pregnant women no alcohol at all. I am not a big drinker anyway, but I do like a beer or glass of wine on occasion.

Lets see...other confessions include...

Put me on the list of caffine drinkers. I have to have a cup of coffee a day or I just can't think straight at work. My goal is to quit during my 3rd trimester.

I haven't been eating too much lunch meat, but I have been craving and eating a lot of hot dogs and tuna.

I don't get nearly enough sleep.

I don't feel like excercising at all. My midwife asks me at every appointment if I am excercising and always feel guilty when I say no. I didn't really do it when I was pregnant with DD and I did fine in labor and recovering afterwards.

I have not been taking my vitamins as regularly as I should.

I hate how freaking emotional I am this time. I cry or get angry (or both) all the time at the littlest things. Poor DH gets the worst of it

I am sure there are more, but that's all I can think of at the moment!

I've been thinking about this thread all night and morning.

Here are three more:

1) I don't like being pregnant too. There, I said it.

2) DH and I have been eating some organic chocolate bars. Since being preggo, I've probably consumed 1 or 2. This week, I find out that the chocolate bars we've been eating are contaminated with LEAD. Organic chocolate bars. How's that for a confession!

3) I take baths nearly every day. Probably way too hot. I don't even like to think about, but who really does want to take cold bath???

Yeah, what's up with THAT?!?!? I felt okay with the chocolate bar I ate because it was organic after all...only to read that the brand that I bought (which I later decided was too bland to buy again anyway) has high lead levels!! But of course I didn't save the wrapper or the receipt, so I can't very well complain to the company. Geesh!

you guys are cracking me up!

Well, I too have gone back to the caffeine. I am trying to get the taxes done and cant stay awake to do it! I went from Christmas eve til March maybe w/o a cola and DH bought me a 2 liter of Pepsi. He thought he was bieng nice. If it is in the house. I drink it. But i try yo limit myself to a glass a day. I am kinda sad about it, but i cant stress!

I am getting really depressed that I am having another boy. I cant picture my life w/o having a pretty little girl. It really hit me when our old neighbor emailed me and told me she was having a girl ( due the same time). I laid around all day and moped.
But really, it bothers me. I am afraid we wont have a 3rd and even if we do, it may be another boy. Nothing wrong with boys ( other than having a REALLY HARD time with a name) but I jsut really want to be a mommy of at least 1 girl.

I crave anything that someone is talking about or what is on TV. I have had way too much fast food ( and so had my DS
) and junk food this time.

DH took DS to the park so I could work on the taxes, but instead, I am on MDC.

I hear you. And then I feel GUILTY about feeling depressed about maybe having a third boy. Ugh. If it weren't for the dream I had where I saw my cute baby's face (and it turned out to be a boy), I'd be really sad. But he was so cute, I know I won't mind when the time comes....but I really want a girl!!

1. This pregnancy is much less exciting to me than my first. I barely notice the kicks and I really have no other symptoms, so I'm just kind of ho-hum.

2. I tried to drink a glass of wine a couple of weeks ago and it totally nauseated me.
:

3. It really ticks me off I have an aversion to coffee.
:
: Go ahead, take one of the few pure joys in my life!! I'm forced to eat extra ice cream because of it.

4. I eat Boar's Head turkey with reckless abandon. This isn't really a confession, since my midwife had no problem with it.

5. I don't eat McD's, but I saw a commercial that looked reaaallly good the other night. Apparently they have sundaes.
Of course, I'm way too lazy to actually go out and buy food from there. It sure looked good though.
