If there is already a thread like this....sorry, I didn't see it!<br><br>
I have to confess that I love chocolate covers cherries....ALOT! In fact, I can't have them in my house at all or I will eat them ALL.<br>
So, I had to go to the store this morning and I saw Hershey's Kisses came out with a Cherry Cordial Creme Kiss....OMG...I bought them. On my way home, I ate 8 of them alone.<br>
I rarely eat sugar..like almost never. I have to say that I have a headache and I am wanting more of them.<br>
Good thing the bag says "Limited Edition".... <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/redface.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Embarrassment"><br><br>
Here is my other confession.....<br><br>
Never before this pregnancy have I ever had "Wendy's" chili....<br>
So, I am on my way home, rushed, haven't eaten....I see Wendy's and think hmmmmm....They have chili...never have had it, but maybe it is good and it does have lots of protein. I stopped and bought a cup for 99 cents...I am in love.<br>
I eat Wendy's chili at least twice a week now. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/redface.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Embarrassment"> (This is so out of character for me.)

I've made it twice, it freezes great and is quick and easy to prepare. I use 1 lb. ground turkey and 1 lb. ground beef.<br><br>
I totally don't want to tell you this so don't read any further if you don't want to hear the truth about Wendy's Chili.<br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br>
They make the chili from the grill where they make the burgers, scraping the excess greasy bits into the chili, which is also made from unsold already hamburgers. My DH learned thi sin business school while doing a project for Wendy's.

My pregnancy confession is that I can't remember a darn thing. Seriously. You should see what I went through to mail my swap package (or not mail it, as the case may be.) I posted that story in the "got my swap package" thread, though...if I remember right.<br><br>
I also confess that I cancelled all my appointments today, sent the kids to school and daycare anyway, and sat on my tush in front of the fireplace doing NOTHING for several hours. I can't remember the last time I was home alone!!

I have read it recommended several times in health-focused magazines as a relatively healthy pick, as far as restaurant food goes.<br><br>

I hear ya about sending everyone away...I rarely have alone, quiet time...so when I had no appt to attend to, etc...this morning....that is what I did....nothing! I did knit for 2 hours and listen to my pregnancy affirmations on CD....and my new Tracy Chapman CD (it totally ROCKS, btw)...<br><br>
My yummy black cable scarf, for MYSELF...is turning out rather nicely!!!!

All the old, back-of-the-grill burgers got tossed into the "chili meat" pan. Whenever a worker was leaving and got a burger to go they always said "and you better not give me any chili meat!" The one I worked at was pretty bad, on occasion I saw them take the meat back out of the chili meat pan during a rush. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/grossedout.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="gross"><br><br>

Oh, good grief. As someone that's worked at Wendy's twice, they don't scrape the freaking grease trap. They do use already cooked hamburgers, though. Basically, during busy periods they set out six to ten burgers at a time--they're only allowed to have them on the grill for 6-8 minutes at a time (there's a beepy timer that tells them when it's time), and after than they take the patties and put them in a heated bin, so that the temp is kept up and they don't get all germed out.<br><br>
It's just not as nasty as people like to make it out to be. It mostly depends on the individual store.

But....I *will* admit to desperately wanting an egg mcmuffin (& hash brown of course!) the other day, so I had it delivered! (Mc Donald's in Singapore delivers 24 hrs/day). I, too, have gotten to know a couple of fast food menus. I had always prided myself in not even knowing what they served. Oh well. The McDonalds sausage egg mcmuffin is to die for.<br><br>
I also have really had to dig deep to shell out the patience that my kids deserve. I am usually pretty patient, but it has been hard lately. I am hoping that when some of the nausea and fatigue slow, it will be easier. DH is really getting the short end of the stick right now <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/orngtongue.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Stick Out Tongue"> .
