I got my first yeast infection a few weeks ago. Doctor gave me Diflucan twice already and it keeps coming back. I'm rather confused about it. We know the yeast infection is still there (according to lab test), but I don't really have much symptoms any more, just a tiny bit of itch sometimes. Do I really need to treat it any more? Will it go away by itself if I don't treat it? I know yeast is a natural inhabitant of vagina. I don't really think I want to eradicate it, but to keep it in balance. Would my body fix the balance if I just ignore it, or would I have to do something like taking probiotics, coconut oil or other remedies?

I am generally healthy, and don't have any mercury fillings any more. Not sure if that matters.
