I just started doing my chart at Fertility Friend a few weeks ago. It has been saying that my forecasted fertile days are the 6th, 7th, and 8th with the forecasted ovulation day being the 9th. Those look like green or orange circles with black dots in them.

Then, all of a sudden, today, the 2nd, a solid green circle with no black dot showed up in the upper left hand corner of today's date. I scrolled over it and it says"Fertile/Best Conception Chances."

I don't get it, why is it saying that and still saying that the 6th-9th are my forecasted fertile days?

All I put in today was that cm was watery and we dtd in the morning.

Any thoughts? Thanks so much for answering my lame questions

Watery CM, like EWCM, is considered to be fertile. So FF is alerting you that you may be entering your fertile time now. Some women only get fertile CM a couple of days before O , some may start to get it a week before. Without knowing your usual pattern it is hard to say how fast O is approaching...
One should treat the first sign of fertile CM as a chance to start BDing though to make sure you catch the egg...sperm can live for several days when CM is fertile.

The originally forcasted dates were based on "the average woman's cycle" since it didn't yet have any cycle data for you personally. Now it's responding to actual data you've entered.

The calculations will only get more accurate in time as you enter more info about your own body into the software- unless of course you get pg this month!

CD14 is the "textbook" day...many women O earlier or later than that, many women have cycles that are longer or shorter than 28 days...charting will help you find out what is normal for YOU!

Thank you so much for the help! I think I will just have a lot of sex and then a week later start taking tests everyday. Is that crazy? This is way too hard bc I am getting so excited and obsessive about it-to the point that I should be working but instead I am bding and researching everything. I have never "tried" before and did not realize how hard it can be on your emotions. Just the whole not-knowing part.

It is nice that there is so much support here.

If you are temping, fertility friend should tell you once you've ovulated. Once that happens, your luteal phase starts (the time from ovulation to your period). Generally, most people don't start testing until at least 9 days past ovulation, and even that is early. I would say a good two weeks after ovulation would be a good time to test, if you haven't started your period by then.

Also wanted to add:

If you're not sure when you will O, BD on the days that you have fertile CM (either wet or stretchy). Some other signs of O: Positive OPKs, your cervix is soft, high, and open, and some people have mittelschmerz, which is pain around ovulation. I get a trapped gas feeling in my pelvis. Others may feel a stabbing or crampiness.

Thanks Anne! I won't do the temp until next month, just want to get lucky. My question about testing is: I ordered these tests
http://www.early-pregnancy-tests.com/3pregtesstri.html
and it says two things:
That means you can begin testing accurately just 6 to 8 days after conceiving - and days before your missed period. and
Begin testing as early as 7-10 days past ovulation.
But you think 9 days after O is the earliest?
Thanks again!

The vast majority of people would not get a positive that early. That's why I said 9 days. Because I have heard of a few people getting positives at that point, where at 6, 7, or 8 days, I have heard of maybe one person. I think most people don't get positives until 10-12dpo.
