This is my first time posting anywhere, so please bare with me.

I am 27 and had a miscarriage on Jan. 27 @ 10wks (baby @ 7). I had VERY normal cycles before this. I spotted for 5 days starting Feb. 15, had my period on March 10th, skipped April (NOT normal for me), and then had period on May 14th after ovulating on May 9th. Now I haven't ovulated again and there are no signs I will. My prolactin levels were tested a few days before I ovulated in May and I was told they were normal. I have been taking FertilityBlend for 2 months and B6 this month to help with the luteal phase.

I guess I just want to know where to go from here. The Drs don't seem to care (keep telling me to wait) and I am just a mess. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks in advance.

My cycles were really messed up for a few months after I miscarried three years ago. Though my recollection is hazy, I think I didn't ovulate for three months (I have bad pain when I ovulate so I can tell easily). It took me a couple of months after my cycles normalized to get pregnant again, and my luteal phase was also shorter than normal.

I don't know what's in Fertility Blend but is it possible it's having a weird effect on you?

Because of your age, I'm not surprised your doctors are telling you to wait a little longer. If you really feel strongly that something is out of whack, though, you should insist on having the appropriate hormone measurements done (FSH, E2, LH) , especially if you're having any other symptoms.

Good luck--

Hi daddy'sgirl...I've been there too and it took a long time to get normal again so I think you're doing the right thing trying to normalize.
From what I know of FB and B6 those should help. I dont think doctors will really care unless it goes on for over a year...you may want to look into alternative therapies. Acupuncture can give great results.

My cycles used to be like clockwork before I m/c'ed then they came back quite quick and seemed regular but my periods were awful, super heavy for me and for 6 months afterwards I felt like I was miscarrying again each time. It was totally traumatic, but I kept telling myself it was in my head. Then I started temping and realized I had a very short luteal phase and delayed/no ovulation. At that point I talked to my RE who just wanted to do clomid and IUI which at the time totally freaked me out. I went the natural route and now 18 months later, between herbs, acupuncture and lunaception, my cycles are perfect and have been since my two failed IUI's. Unfortunately we also got diagnosed with a male factor so it looks like it's not just my previous screwy cycles...Dont mean to talk about me, me, me just thought my story might help you/others reading.

Good luck.

Thanks to both of you. I feel better knowing I'm not just some kind of freak! I thought that once I got my period the first time again, all would be well, we would wait a couple of months, and this time it would stick. I never believed all this would happen!

Needles scare me a little, so I'm not sure about the acupuncture, but I do exercise (aerobics and pilates) for about an hour each day. I have been for 1.5 years.

Also, have any of you had problems with blackheads and acne this long after a miscarriage? My skin was always clear and I never had acne or blackheads before, but ever since the miscarriage, I've had acne on and off and REALLY bad blackheads.

Thanks again, Gina

I am writing in response to the person who said she has problems with acne. I am also having a horrible time with body acne. I have traditionally had healthy skin and I am so frustrated by what a wreck it is now. My miscarriage was about 3 months ago (at 9 weeks) and my body is still a mess.

We are trying to get pregnant again and my periods aren't regular either. It seems like I never stop bleeding. I have maybe a week after my period of nothing, followed by two weeks of spotting, and then a period. Argh!

Last week a blood test came up with possibly elevated prolactin levels. Maybe that is the cause of the body acne?
