My dd hasn't pooped for about 41 hours. The doctor told me not to be concerned until it's been two days.

How long between movements is constipation in babies?

TIA,
Enjoy it while it lasts! You'll probably be posting differently in a week or two!

Are you bf or formula? If you are breastfeeding are you constipated? If so what are you eatting. I went through this because I eat so many greens.

Sounds like your baby is doing things right on cue.

http://www.kellymom.com/newman/enough_milk_01-03.html
Dr. Jack Newmans writes:

"Some breastfed babies, after the first 3-4 weeks of life, may suddenly change their stool pattern from many each day, to one every 3 days or even less. Some babies have gone as long as 15 days or more without a bowel movement. As long as the baby is otherwise well, and the stool is the usual pasty or soft, yellow movement, this is not constipation and is of no concern. No treatment is necessary or desirable, because no treatment is necessary or desirable for something that is normal."

At 6 weeks, my dd suddenly started pooping every 4-6 days. It totally freaked me out. My ped. told me not to worry and call her after 7 days.
