everything else stayed the same. i eat LOTS of fiber and drink LOTS of water. in the last 4 days i've been jumping on my new rebounder / mini trampoline, for about 30 min a day, 10 min at a time. i noticed i am sort of constipated, which is very unusual for me.

why is this happening?:

Ummm... ok, this is going to sound really gross, but maybe stuff is getting, er, packed down a bit too much? With the jumping, I mean? Kind of like how if you take newspaper and stuff it into a smallish box, if you keep pushing it down, when it comes out it's all in a block?

Just a thought. I saw the thread title and immediately thought "dehydration!" but if you're drinking lots of water (ie at least 3L a day) then you're probably good for that.

Do you take any probiotics? They can make things run smoother in that area. Like good plain yogurt, or kefir. If you have a kefir-fruit smoothie every morning you'll be good to go. So to speak.

For just getting things going again, I recommend cooked rhubarb. You have to add a pile of sugar or honey to make it edible, but it's worth it for the cleansing "action".

You mention that you drink a lot of water, but have you increased the amount of water since you have increased your activity?
