So since I am now looking at fitted over prefold possibly I have seen contour diapers and I am wondering what they are like.

I think my DH might like them better than the prefold, his issue with the PF is the folding and doing it in the middle of the night and during the day on a VERY squirmy 1 year old.

He can't even wrap a gift so I don't know what I was thinking when I thought he would be able to work with PF's.

Would we need to use Snappi's on them or can we just lay them in the cover and then do the whole diaper up on the baby??

So contour WDYT??

Your dh sounds like me! I can't wrap a gift and I hated folding PFs too -- I was so bad at it. Contours are so much easier! I didn't use a Snappi on them, but then I didn't use a Snappi on my prefolds either. What I did with both PFs and contours is just lay them in the wrap (and fold them in the case of PFs) and then wrap them around the baby and then fasten the velcro (or snaps) of the cover.

I love contours! I think they are the perfect compromise between ease of use and cost. I have never understood why they aren't more popular!

I love contours too. I love the kissaluvs contours a LOT!!! They probably aren't the best contours out there but I love them (they are the only ones I have used though) and I am sad that my baby is about to outgrow the smaller ones and I have no $$ to buy the bigger ones. I would sell them but they wouldn't make me enough to buy new ones......

I have a couple Snappi contours. They are really soft. They aren't as absorbant as I would like for them to be, but a good dipe for while at home. They are pretty cheap. I'm thinking about trying the Imsy Vimse ones.

Oh, don't get me wrong. I like fitteds even more than contours. MUCH more. I have switched my entire stash to fitteds.

fitteds hold poo in better, but if you know your not gonna be dealing with a poo contours are great. they are quicker b/c no snaps. i don't snappi or pin either. they are about the sam in ease of use as pfs too me. (trifolding is super simple) only disadvantage i can think of is that they take forever too dry. i'm using kissaluv ones. might not be an issue w/ other brands. these are very absorbant!
