so i am 11 weeks as of today... i think, anyways my uterus is have to my belly button already about 3 inches above my pubic bone, on my first appt. on the 18th the doctor said it was quite large for what it should be. anyways i've been having cramps and when i feel my uterus it's hard... like a contraction/braxton hicks. is this even possible. what does this mean. about three weeks ago all my prego symptoms stopped, and we couldn't find a heartbeat on the 18th (not uncommon for 10weeks) but i'm kinda worried. has this happened to anyone else. also, i notice i cramp up when i'm bfing my dd. any advice will be great

my uterus is a little higher and larger than for dates (which may mean someting or nothing, but your uterus that large definately doesn't imply the baby stopped developing weeks ago,), so I've already been noticing for a few weeks now some contractions. The only reason I notice is because my stomach balls up pretty firm. This happened all through my last pregnancy, although I think I'm more cognizant of it this pregnancy. So I'm gonna call it perfectly normal
Now, I'm not breastfeeding anymore, but sex sure sets off those contractions like mad, lol.

thanks, that makes me feel so much better. last pregnancy i had a lot of preterm labor but i didn't really notice it until about 18 weeks. i was just scared that maybe this baby was going to m/c. but you're right, if my uterus is still growing... duh, baby has to be. thanks again.
