Does anyone have any great cookbooks they use?
I have used both Taste of Home and Moosewood.
My family's style seems to be somewhere in the middle of these two. I make up alot of recipes and get lots of ideas off the internet too.

I love to cook, but have learned it is best to be kinda simple sometimes and elaborate in between!

What qualities of each do you like? When I think of Taste of Home I think hearty flavors with canned soups a part of many recipes (and since I don't eat cream of anything soup, it doesn't really work for me.) I love Moosewood's recipes, but as a vegetarian source I understand the need for diversity.

I turn to magazines: Cooking Light and Eating Well as the happy medium, I guess, and use the standard reference of Better Homes and Gardens Cookbook for the rest.

Now that you mention it, I guess I need a happy medium cookbook too. The only ones I really use are my vegetarian and it's not helping with cooking our grass fed meats. I second the question!
