I really am not wanting to do this...but, it seems we might be headed that way (at least for part of the night)...our 2yo will sometimes sleep 3hrs or so in his bed...sometimes nothing and the new baby is due in about 3mos so I'm thinking it will be 2 in the bed. I think we have space (we have a king), but, I'm really worried about the toddler hurting the newborn...and I also miss sleeping next to DH lol...I guess if newborn was between wall and me and toddle between outside and DH it would work...but, he still likes to be close to mama, and still night nurses occasionally.

Ideas? BTDT?

Before the baby was born, our son slept on the outside (with a siderail) and my husband and I slept next to each other and could cuddle, but I was beside our son for when he needed to nurse. When the baby was born, we had to alternate. Baby, me, son, husband. It keeps the baby safe, but I don't get to touch my husband. Someday they will be grown and I will miss these days, so I don't worry about it too much.
