While I was browsing at Joann's last night I found 3 or 4 bolts of 100% Cotton Terry Velour for about $5/yard. Is this good for diapers? One side was rougher like Terrycloth and the other side was soft like velour, but not as soft as some of my velour dipes I have bought. It seemed like it would be really good for wipes. How many wipes can you get out of 1 yard?

I love terry velour! I have no idea how many wipes I got out of a yard, but I know it was quite a few 8x8". It's great for soakers too.

I recently bought 15 yards of this on clearance for $2/yard at Joanns. It shrinks quite a bit being 100% cotton but the velour side is the softest velour I have. It is quite thick and 4 layers total is super absorbent. Have fun, I love it!!

Be warned, after some time i've had it fray and holes have formed in my dipes.

It works really well for wipes, though.

It frays something awful it does develop holes easily...like Shalena said. It's so soft though...it's nice to use.

When I said "after sometime" I should have been more clear. I'm talking like 1 wash. I've had it stay and look good if I keep the seam allowance closer to 1/2 an inch, any thing smaller then that and it comes apart.

I know, what a bubble burster I am!
