Here's the situation:
I'm nursing my 22 mo, my periods have not yet returned. I've had unprotected sex twice during the last month. Over the last week or two I've been extremely tired and depressed feeling. Fri or Sat my stomach started feeling funny (not sure how else to describe - it's not nausea exactly, just discomfort). I feel better right after I've had something to eat but a couple hours later it hurts again. I experienced this a lot w/my previous 2 pregs.

However, there are other possible causes. I haven't had many "mommy breaks" lately, and I've been forgetting my vitamins a lot). My DDs had a 24hr stomach bug on Thur & Fri. But I haven't been noticeably sick, like they were.

Anyway, it just ocurred to me this morning that it's possible that I'm pg - not likely maybe, but definitely a possibility. (By the way - I really hope I'm *not*. Not ready for a 3rd yet). Now I'm stressing and feeling a bit paranoid. So, what are the chances? Is it worth taking a home pregnancy test yet, or would it be too early (I'm notorious for taking pg tests too early to detect). I don't want to waste my money, but I'd like to be able to put my mind at ease.

Thanks!

I say get a couple of dollar store pregnancy tests. That way you can test now and in a couple of weeks for just a couple of bucks. Why not rule it out?

(Btw, can I use the word "couple" a couple more times in this post? )

I personally would test ~ the unknown is so stressful.
Buy some cheap ones, so if you need to test again in a week.

I'm so darn curious I vote test, too!

IF you are pregnant then it's not like you'll have a newborn AND the person your 22 MO is--by then you're littlest will be 3 1/2 years old. 3 1/2 is VERY different that almost 2.

Best wishes! Keep us posted!

I'm not . Whew! I don't do well with waiting. I figured that if the hormones were what were making me have symptoms they should be strong enough to show up on a test.

Anyway, I'm not, and I'm feeling better, and DH & I will be more careful in the future, b/c I'm really not ready for another yet.

thanks ladies!
