I just started my prenatals this morning and suddenly (several hours after taking the pill) my urine is BRIGHT yellow. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm taking the "once a day" pills.

NORMAL.

Any vitamin with watersoluble vitamins may turn pee yellow/green' .. it's merely your body flushing any excess (probably vit c)

Yep, totally! I've had other multi's that did this. It freaked me out until I googled "neon pee" and read that vitamins can cause it.

If I recall from biochem way back in university, Vitamins B does this to pee when you take a higher dose than your body is used to. It'll stop after a few days.
Now, the reason for this is a complete mystery to me!!!

And, fwiw, I never stopped peeing highlighter yellow as long as I was on vitamins, but then, my body doesn't tolerate vitamins very well.

the iron will turn your poo dark green too

I get that too when I take "good vitamines" you know not supermarket ones! the prenatels I have do this and my multi's I have do that also it stays nice and bright for me all day!

The Rainbow Light totally do this to me. It's like antifreeze pee.

RL will do that to me, but really good food source vitamins, like New Chapter, never do. It is because you actually use the vitamins and don't pee them out.

ir's vitamin b, and because vitamin b is water soluable, the body gets rid of what you don't use via the urine. totally normal and safe.

WHen I eat nutritional yeast, I also get neon pee.

Yes, good vitamins always do this to me too, including the Rainbow Light Once a Day Prenatals I took while pregnant. As everyone else has said, it's just your body flushing out the excess vitamins that your body doesn't need and can't use. It' actually a good thing because it means the vitamin has broken down and you have digested it, and are just getting rid of the excess. Rainbow Light multivitamins are a great quality!
