I just ordered my homebirth supplies! OMG! Its like suddenly real...I'm gonna have a(nother) baby in ~5 weeks....AHHHH.

The bad part is-the site I ordered from said to order at least 6 weeks before your due date. Now...I ordered from them last time too and I don't remember it being 6 weeks, but I'm a little worried. Maybe I should get a shoelace and sterilize some scissors?

LOL! That's so awesome! I'm sure it'll be there before the birth. I REALLY need to get my sh!t together.. I keep putting it off and then I realized my safe date is in less than a month. Yikes.

Oh, I'm just curious, how are you pronouncing the baby's name? Is it sort of like Micah or Mee-kah?

Mee-Kuh.

Her full name is going to be Mieke Kelli Wike (said like Mike, but with a W). We keep saying she's going to be getting called Mikey. Mikey Wikey.

OH! And funny little thing I realized. Mieke is German-and my old midwife, who delivered my dd, my surro baby, and was supposed to deliver my last baby as well-is also German. Her name is Hieke. It really didn't occur to me until just a few days ago that their names are only one letter difference. I definitely have to pop in to say hi after she's born and introduce her, hehe. (Her name is pronounced totally differently though-like Hi-Kuh)

I am excited, too. I still have to get a carseat and a towel warmer, but I did just order my birth kit! You know you are on your third child (at least) when you don't bat an eye about ordering a large diaper FOR YOURSELF.

LOL... I'm toward the end of this DDC... I'm only 31 weeks right now...and both my other babies have come past their due date... although I guess you never know...

Actually it's been freaking me out - the possibility that I won't have at *least* to my due date.

My babes have been born at 39 and 38 weeks. I'll be 34 weeks on Wednesday. Ahem.

I am in total disbelief that it's coming up so quickly. Our homebirth supplies are mostly checked off, because I'm organized like that, and today I'm going on a curtain hunt, so, you know, everyone that walks past our house doesn't see me half-nekkid pushin' out a baby.

I'm super contract-y, and when I pee, it's like, OMGthebaby'sgoingtofalloutrightnow.

I read some birth stories last night, and then I had a dream that the midwives were trying to induce me (even though I was only, like, 38 weeks) with random tinctures. One of them was a pitocin tincture.

I had a dream the other night where the baby just sort of plopped out and I was like "huh, guess we should call the midwife?" and then we called our families to tell them the baby was born and his name was Avery... and then went to put a diaper on the baby and realized it was a GIRL, not a BOY... So then we had to sheepishly call everyone back and change what we told them

Just had to give myself a big ol' pat on the back for buying curtains and a curtain rod today. Bravo, me! Let's see if I'll get them hung anytime soon...

I just bought curtains the other day too! We had blinds, but they didn't darken the room enough if I'm going to be sleeping there for a while (I'll be in the main floor bedroom next to the bathroom for the birth and postpartum period so I don't have to climb the stairs). Fortunately I had my parents over and they hung them up Ordered my birth supplies ages ago, but I'm starting to get anxious for my home visit on Feb 10th so they can tell me what else I need to get sorted. I wish we had arranged it sooner since DD arrived at 38 weeks and I think there's a good chance I'll go on the early side this time too.
