Hi,

I am making an assortment of diapers for my SIL's new baby who is due at the end of December.

I have made her a few Cuddlebuns and want to make a wool cover to match them. She plans to start cloth diapering when her baby is about 6 weeks (or a little later). Assuming the Cuddlebuns fit the baby, what size cover should I make her? Will a small wool cover fit over Cuddlebuns?

I only started cloth diapering when my son was 8 months old and he was already a large by then. I don't know anything about cloth diapering small babies!

I cd'd my dd with CuddleBuns from the time she was about 6-7 weeks old and I used a Medium Prorap as a cover to start with. It worked just fine but I really had to pull on the gussets to get them to cover up the fabric of the CuddleBuns dipe so I would recommend at least a size Medium. Making or purchasing a CuddleWrap would be even better, they're designed to snap smaller for smaller babies, just like the dipes. Nowadays if all my pretty RB covers are in the wash pile, that's what I use.

Thanks for the info. I figured I would need at least a medium. I might make a Cuddlewrap. My only problem is that the wool I have is thick enough to make a one layer cover and the elastic would be exposed. Maybe I will try and bind it with FOE instead. I should probably ask this question in Sewing and Crafts or on the sewyourowndiapers board.

Lucky you to have RB covers. I would like to buy one just to see how it is made. But I am in Canada and with the exchange and taxes it becomes one very expensive diaper.

I like your daughter's name.
