While window shopping, I notice there are a lot of places that sell only Chinese prefolds or only Indian. I did a poll a long time ago and CPFs won so I've been favoring those, but I know IPFs are popular too. Does it really matter all that much which I shop for?

It's just a personal preference.

I prefer IPFs but I also have some CPFs. I just don't ever use them LOL. I'm thinking of having the CPFs made into prefitteds. I think it's easier to find dyed CPFs if you are wanting more fancy PFs. I like them just plain so that part doesn't matter to me.

Lots of people seem to have both and really like having both. I'm just one that prefers IPFs

I like 'em both, for different things/sizes/stages. IPFs are my favorite overall, they are just SO soft. They are luscious. I just love them, and they are definitely more absorbent. I almost can't even feel when he wets, unless it's a really big one, and I like that because I think it is probably more comfortab;e for him as well. However, they just aren't wide enough anymore, I am going to have to go buy some pins because my snappi isn't holding them around the waist. So I like the SIZING of the CPFs better, but everything else I prefer the IPFs. I have a big baby though, so that would make a difference if you have a peanut. I don't really think it matters that much though - if you take care of them, you'll have nice, soft, absorbent dipes either way. The difference is FAR from earth-shattering, KWIM?

If you can get a hold of a few of each. I love both types as long as they are unbleached. I got mine mostly off of the TP. That way you can find your favorite with out spending much money.

Yeah, honestly, I wouldn't stress about it. Some people are SUPER picky about dipes, but PFs are so versatile and so adaptable - that's one of the reasons I use them! - it seems like it kind of ruins their charm for me if you agonize over what type to get. They're SIMPLE - get it?

I really think IPFs are more absorbant as well.. maybe because the quilting seems thicker? And of course their softness can't be beat. But, like a pp said, finding 'pretty' (dyed) ones is tough. And I
dyed pfs. They're all I use!

I
IPF's and I
toddler IPF's! They are sooo soft, so absorbant (like they can go overnight on my DS!) and the fit is great. The toddler IPF's are wider than CPF's so they fit around bigger bellies, but they are the same length as CPF's so you don't have a lot extra length to fold over. I just trimmed one of mine and then turned it into a fitted and I
it!

I heard from a little birdy that www.diaperware.com is going to be carrying *dyed* toodler IPF's and she already has premium dyed IPF's in stock in great colors! I'm going to get a doz. and turn them into prefitteds and sell most of my other fitted dipes! You can't beat the absorbancy, softness and ease of care! Plus...when they are trimmed they are a great fit! Not too bulky at all!!

*sigh* I may need to post another poll about this. Cpfs won in the last poll, but not by much, and there were other options too so there may be a need for a run-off.
If there was a recent poll about ubcpfs vs. ubipfs and I missed it, could somebody show me a link? I'm in dial-up land over here.
