Maybe this would be better off in the homeschooling thread, I dont know. Anyhow, I am looking for crafty christmas ideas for my neices (ages 5,7 and 9) and nephews (ages 3 and 11). Not crafts for me to make for them, but gifts that are kits or something for them to make. Or any other gift ideas would be so greatly appreciated, my son is only 1 year so I am clueless as to what they would like or what would be too easy or hard for them to do.

thanks a bunch!

Craft stores tend to have tons of kits. Reading the recommended ages would give you a clue about difficulty. There are leather kits that would appeal to boys as well as girls. Things like stepping stone mosaic kits, soap kits, candle kits (these would be better for the older ones). You could buy a ready made kit or make your own by gathering the right supplies and writing out directions. I see kits for sale at discount stores like Marshalls. The 3 year old will be trickier to find a kit for as he is a little young to follow directions without considerable help, so he might be better off just with craft supplies that he can muck around with. Sorry if this is too obvious to be much help.

My local Hobby Lobby store has "amulet bag" kits you can buy. They're little tiny bags (for storing an amulet presumably) and everything is included, you just put them together.

If you have a niece or nephew who's interested, you could get them a "getting started" kit for knitting.

Great idea... I should do this for some of my nephews/nieces!
