We just got about $200.00- $250.00 worth of wooden train track, buildings and bridges for $50.00.<br><br>
I can't tell you how many hours I've spent on Ebay trying to find something I could justify the price for. No way I could talk myself into $20.00 or more for just one bridge or windmill. Absolutely no way I could afford even clearance prices for new items.<br><br>
But today, we got it all!!! Roundhouse, Windmill, train wash and tons more.<br><br><img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/img/vbsmilies/smilies/joy.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="joy">:<img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/img/vbsmilies/smilies/joy.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="joy">:<img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/img/vbsmilies/smilies/joy.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="joy">:<img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/img/vbsmilies/smilies/joy.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="joy">:<img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/img/vbsmilies/smilies/joy.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="joy">:<img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/img/vbsmilies/smilies/joy.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="joy">:<img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/img/vbsmilies/smilies/joy.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="joy">:<img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/img/vbsmilies/smilies/joy.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="joy">:<img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/img/vbsmilies/smilies/joy.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="joy">:<img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/img/vbsmilies/smilies/joy.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="joy">: <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/img/vbsmilies/smilies/joy.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="joy">:<img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/img/vbsmilies/smilies/joy.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="joy">:<img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/img/vbsmilies/smilies/joy.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="joy">:<img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/img/vbsmilies/smilies/joy.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="joy">:<img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/img/vbsmilies/smilies/joy.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="joy">:<br><br>
I even wrote the seller a thank you email because I was so happy to see an affordable price and I know how much my boys will play with it!<br><br>

What haven't we gotten off of Craig's List is more the question for our family. We are completely remodeling a very large house and we have struck gold with Craig's list. We We were clear going into the project that we wanted to see how low we could get our real budget for supplies, vs. big box store or contractor buying things. Some items we have gotten new, below cost would be toilets, sinks, dishwasher, wall to wall carpeting, doors, architectural elements. Oh, and last year, a huge haul of train toys for ds foor Christmas.

I always joke that you can get anything from Craigslist, garage sales or mom 2 mom sales. Today, at a mom2mom sale, I picked up a complete set of boutique Trumpette socks, a new pair of Ministar/Bobux, a new My First Christmas outfit, a new Children's Place sweater, 8 onesies, a GUC Babystyle sleeper and some of those foam play tiles to use under my waterbirth tub for $13.75. Hubby joked that I paid full price for the Ministar and got everything else for free!

I bought an Amby Baby Hammock for $80. A pity I don't have a baby to use it. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/orngbiggrin.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="orange big grin">

I haven't used Craigslist very much, but so far everything I've listed have been sold within a couple days. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/smile.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="smile"> It is rather nice to get cash instantly for your stuff.

We love Craigslist too. Some people might look around our house and think we spend a lot on nice furniture - but the truth is I just search for finds from my favorite stores on Craigslist every week!<br><br>
Recently we've found a beautiful dining table and leather chair from Room and Board, bookcases from Pottery Barn, and a small table from West Elm.<br><br>
We also sell many things. Just this last month, we sold about $1500 worth of stuff on there. We probably sell more than we buy. For most expensive purchases, we don't think just about how much it costs. We also consider how much it will sell for. For example, we bought a nice crib and changing table from pottery barn for about $600 four years ago. We sold them last week for $615. So we made money and enjoyed a nice nursery!
