My stove died. We were hoping to make it last a little long. But that isn't going to be so.<br><br>
I notice on Craigslist there are several listed. What happens if we get one and it doesn't work? Is it acceptable to ask if it can be plugged in for a quick test?

It is perfectly acceptable to ask for a demonstration. I would. We bought a stove off CL three years ago. It is still going strong, and I love it. I also asked why they were selling it. In our case, they were moving into a place that had one.
