Hi All--

I had my m/c in December and had a chem pg in May. Now we're 5w6d pg (yay!), but last night I had what I think was a speck of very dark blood in my CM when I wiped. ((I swear it was tiny, but it didn't look like it should be there)) I have had mild to moderate cramps off and on since then and am calling my doc this morning as soon as the office opens to see if I can get either blood work and/or a vaginal ultrasound.

I am really freaked out. I've been checking my CM constantly since then and haven't seen anything else. But the cramps are still off and on.

also, I'm still bfing and my nipps were not nearly as sore last night when ds latched on compared to the weeks before.

Just checking in to share and to see if anyone has any good news (or not
) to share.

Anita

I went to the doc for a blood count and the moved my u/s up a week.

I had one more drop of blood the next day, but the cramps have stopped and no more bleeding.

The doc thinks it was implantation bleeding (i think the placenta was growing and embedding).

My blood count/hcg came back at 9088 at 27 dpo. I'm not thrilled with the number, but the doctor thinks it looks good.

This is, as you all know, very stressful.

Well, apparently, it wasn't good news at all.

I just came back from the ultrasound and the heartrate was 80 bpm, well below the viable level of 120 to 130 at this stage of development.

I haven't spoken to the doctor yet, but I can't see how there is going to be any positive outcome to this.

ANd I'm a very positive person.

I am SO HOPING and PRAYING that your dates are off somehow and that the hb is on track....

Are you on progesterone supplementation? I am also b'fding and was while TTC --- my progesterone was too low on it's own because the higher prolactin levels can interfere with some of us (lost 3 pregnancies while BF either due to the low prog. , PSD, or my age...never know...). Ask them to check your progesterone levels when you have your next appt. to make sure they are high enough.

Sending lots and lots of positive thoughts to your little babe....
