my 9mo dd has slept with us since she was born. recently she's decided to make unauthorized excusrsions during the middle of the night. last night she woke up and crawled to the foot of our bed and went to sleep there. i'm a little worried about her safety. Our bed is only a foot off the ground, so i'm not really worried about her falling, i'm more worried about her getting smothered or something in our comforter.

If she's 9 months old I wouldn't worry too much about her smothering herself. What type of comforters do you have? Can you switch to a plain blanket, or wear warmer pjs to bed while she gets over thsi phase? I know I have to sleep with something over me, but I can wear warmer pajamas and just use the topsheet.
