we got my kids a gorgeous wooden kitchen this past year-it was their only christmas gift. While we were moving they got ahold of crayons and a marker and drew all over it. I am so sad. Can I save it? I haven't tried anything yet because I'm scared to make it worse.

two words: magic eraser.
seriously, not the most natural thing out there BUT it will probably take the crayon and marker off. i would be suprised if it didn't... i have some extras laying around, i'd be happy to bring you one when i pick up the tub. just lemme know.

Acetone (finger nail polish remover) will take off the sharpie. White colored tooth paste and a gentle tooth brush will remove the crayon.

If all else fails, a bit of gentle sanding and then wax (recommend bees wax for children's toys).

yup, it's taken sharpie off the girls' play table before. really, it's MAGIC.
it's the only chemical-y thing in my cleaning stash, i use it as a last resort. DH on the other hand loves it and uses it all. the. time.

I know its not exactly the same but my son drew on the walls at my parents house with a sharpie and I used dish soap and it came off. I think it was dawn or something.

Side note - my son drew on the fridge with a crayon at our house and I used vinegar and it basically came off, but there is a faint stain. Does anyone know how to get THAT off?

and yes, I know, NO MORE CRAYONS AND MARKERS FOR THE 2 YEAR OLD!!!!!
