My husband is going to turn 50 and has issues about expanding the family. We have 3 grade school children and his anxieties deal with money and time spent with the family and the fact that we live in a 3 bedroom apartment in NYC. I would like to have another child and he would like to get some feedback from people that have grappled with these same issues. We both love children. We need some encouraging advice.

All I have to say is the 3 bedroom apartment thing should not factor into it. Plenty of families around the world share bedrooms. My brother and I shared a room for many years. My DH dreams of an apartment in NYC, lol. Go for it!

I think our age has helped us appreciate the kiddos more and we don't even worry about being polite to nosey people!

If money and space are his only concern, that shouldn't stop you.

We have a 3 bedroom house and all of us sleep in the master bedroom!!!

Talk with each other, listen to your hearts and don't regret whatever you decide.
