Hi,<br><br>
I just found out that #3 is on the way and due ~ Dec 31st! With the first 2, I just blurted it out or showed the stick. I'd like to be a bit more creative this time around. Anyone have good ideas for how to tell people - especially DH?<br><br>

I didn't know what to do for dh this time either! I wanted to do something fun w/ the kids, like ds has a #1 shirt, dd #2, and me #3 on the belly or something.... ??? But I decided to give him a "Congratulations on the new addition" card w/ the stick and "SURPRISE" written inside!! He was surprised and it was fun!<br><br>

I got a "I'm the Big Sister" shirt for DD. Put a hamburger "bun in the oven" and ask him to look in the oven where he will see it and say, "hey, there's a bun in the oven." And you say, "surprise!"<br><br>
I told DH by refusing a beer. I knew he would ask if I wanted a beer with dinner, and when he did, I said, "No thanks, I'm not drinking." He said, "What, are you pregnant?" I said, "Yup"!

Hubby is a big shot in computers, so when I need little things on my laptop done, he sighs heavily <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/lol.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="lol"><br><br>
With #3 I put a big baby bottle on the screen with something written on it. so whn he opened the laptop, he got the surprise.<br><br>
With this last one, I wasn't sure I was, so my friend brought over some more tests and it was during the hugging and screaming that he figured it out. hehe

I made myself a shirt with a pic of Prego spaghetti sauce on it. I made DD a bracelet with a "Big Sister" charm. And I made a shirt for him that had a pic of Dad's Root Beer on it with the words "New & Improved".<br><br><img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/lol.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="lol">

For our first, he had bought the test and knew I was taking it so there was no surprise OTHER than the big dark line that showed up immediately! <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/lol.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="lol"><br><br>
For the 2nd, I made a card on the computer that said, "Happy-birthday-to-me..." and on the inside said, "You're a Daddy-to-be!" It was the day before my birthday. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/smile.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="smile"> He asked if I was sure and I handed him 6 sticks! <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/lol.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="lol"><br><br>
With the third, I'm a big rubber stamper, so I made a card with a set of stamps that have a list of months and a calendar of days. The idea is to circle the appropriate ones, so I circled "Oct" and "3" and used another stamp that said "Congratulations on your news" or something like that. That stamp was round and I used it as the closure on the card, which was a trifold and therefore different than most of my cards. I adhered the cheapie test strip inside the card and took it to him when the kids were napping and all was quiet... Showed him my latest card and asked him what he thought, being sure to point out the special opening that he should try. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/winky.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Wink"><br><br>
When he opened it, he said, "Is that yours?!" And I said, "No, I gave you someone else's pregnancy test!" <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/lol.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="lol"> He was thrilled. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/orngbiggrin.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="orange big grin"><br><br>
