I would skip it. I asked the dentist last time I was there and they recommended waiting...but I haven't done any online research or anything to see if there are other opinions out there.

I just remembered about a tip I read for whiter teeth; it involved crushing up a strawberry with some ?baking soda? and spreading it on the teeth as a paste for five minutes. Sorry, but I can't remember if the baking soda part is right. Anyway, it's supposed to whiten the teeth and sure sounds more baby-friendly than peroxide. Maybe you could google it?
I have no idea whether it's safe during pregnancy.
However, do you know if you have really good enamel on your teeth?
All those whitening strips do is basically take off a layer of enamel off your teeth - which is not good for someone like me who has crappy teeth and soft enamel. Unless they've somehow changed their chemicals or the whole process or something.
I guess I'll wait. I am getting my teeth cleaned at the dentist next month. That should help me feel better. I called today to set up the appointment and the recpetionist asked when I was last in. I said, "About two years ago." she went to find my chart, and when she came back she said, "Uh, you were last here in 2000!" OH MY GOD!!!!! Six years?!?!?!?! No I feel so gross, I just want my teeth to feel as clean as possible. But it's not worth doing any damage to the baby!
