So I have one Crickett's fitted and so far I really like it. I'm going more towards hemp these days since my little one has very sensitive skin. These seem to fit her better then little beetles, and well, the price is right.

I've only read one post here lately where a mama had problems with them--it sounded like build-up induced, but they were hurting her little one.

Does anyone else have any comments they'd like to share on the Crickett's?

I like the fit, and they seem to be very absorbent (or enough, anyway) for daytime use (I still like prefolds with a hemp doubler for nighty night...)...

Thank you, mamas!

I really love them. They fit great and ARE priced right, you are correct about that. I have had them for three months or so and they have retained thier softness as much as can be expected for hemp and we have had no smell issues. I really like the absorbancy, too. I will be buying more soon.

I used to have one Crickett, and we loved it, but it did lose its softness. The price was good too.

We love, love, love our Cricketts diapers. I have never had stink/buildup issues with them (I have with many other diapers, but not these). They are not the softest, but no hemp is. I am working on building up buying them gradually. PM me if you want a free shipping code for Kellyscloset.

Cricketts are now the only diapers I will ever buy. I LOVE LOVE LOVE them. LOVE them. Is that clear enough?

We started with the hemp terry since at the time I ordered, hemp fleece was sold out. Now we've just moved up to the next size (I also love the fact there are only two sizes to work with) and hemp terry is no longer available. They started soft but got stiffer over time (detergent does that). Anyway, I just today got my shipment of brand new hemp fleece Cricketts in the mail and am ecstatic. They are SO SOFT!!! I've been doing happydances all day long....

I love my hemp Crickett's diapers, as far as the convenience and fit goes, but I am having a hard time with a bad smell coming from them- they don't seem to smell out of the dryer, but soon after they are on my little one, I can smell them, and very strongly after they have been wetted on. What's the secret for washing these? I want to buy more for my next one coming, but only if I can keep them smelling good.

Hopefully waiting some advice. Thanks!

I loved my Crickett's - I really did.

As for smell, I'd recommend stripping them. I used to have to strip my hemp regularly (like once a month or so) and I'm sure I'd have had to with the Crickett's too. I didn't use them long enough to really notice.

As for stripping, I use Calgon powder and run them through a wash with only that. I used about a cup per load or maybe a little more. I could only find it at Kmart when I lived in NY, but here Walmart also carries it. I find the powder does better than the liquid, too.

Good luck with stripping.

I also love the price of these!

I have a love hate relationship with them. At first they were so soft then they got super crunchy and rubbed ds raw even after being stripped! I now just place a liner in them and no more raw boy parts. I do hate that they aren't soft, but thats hemp for you. Also the size toddler+ gaps at the legs too much for my ds(he is 15 months old and 27lbs). If he would poop in them it would fall out! I don't know if I just have a bad batch with elastic problems, I guess I should ask crickett. They do absorb great and crickett is wonderful to do business with!!!
