I am slowly (but surely!) moving away from the diaper service...today I bought a Swaddlebee fitted and a Fuzzi Buns so I could have those in my diaper bag right away for when we're out. I was thinking about also getting these dipes online:

Little Beetle One Size
Happy Hempy
Under the Nile Cotton
Mother-Ease Sandy

Do these sound good?

Am I missing anything? (I am good on covers (have 7) and will also get about 3 days worth of prefolds.)

TIA!!

The Little Beetle One isn't a one size. The old version has somewhat of a short rise. The new sizing is supposed to improve that. I have the old sizing and other than the rise I like it.

Hi mamas,
Thanks for replying! I guess I didn't realize the Beetle wasn't one-size. I think I still want to try it, though!

Regarding the ME Sandy, I was thinking about getting just the regular, but since the bamboo isn't really that more expensive (unlike a bamboozle, for instance, that's 20 bucks IIRC)--should I do the bamboo?

I am right there with you with the dipe serv weaning! I got (for 2 kids) 10 Snug-to-Fit fitteds, 2 Fuzzi Bunz, 1 bunGenius, a random Kissaluv contour... It's really enough if I wash regularly. We still have the service though. I really need to cancel it. save us 18 dollars a week!

IMO I would go with both. maybe like 4 of one and 4 of the other. Bamboo IMO absorbs better than regular cotton BUT there are times that you dont need all the absorbancy. I like to have a mix !

I would stay away from the little beetle. Unless you don't mind the bulk between the legs! I have been cloth diapering for almost two years and have tried so many diff. kinds! I like fuzzibunz too for pockets. For fitteds my favs are cuddlebuns, lucy's hope chest and goodmamas. I never had a diapering service, but I'm sure you'll do just fine mama! Now you'll have extra money!

How hard is it to get a goodmama? Seems like they sell out fast. I signed up for her email and I guess I was still too late!
