My almost five year old (weaned last summer after she turned four) really enjoyed these pictures of animals nursing other species. That's amazing. When I was little my dog, who never had puppies herself, "adopted" an abandoned kitten and another dog's three puppies, when she decided that their mother was not good enough to them. Literally forced her way in and took over.<br><br>
Things like this prove over and over again that the instinct to mother is universal.

Thank you so much for sharing! I have never seen anything like that before. I can't for my DS to wake up from his nap so I can show him the pictures.
