DD is 7 months & has had, since birth, the tendancy to get crusty yellow globs of goo in her eyes/eyelashes when she sleeps. When she wakes I often have to help her pry open 1 or both of her eyelids, the goo dries & sticks them together. I was told it was common blocked tearducts at birth & I squirt BM in them occassionally, plus wipe with warm damp cloth. I read however that if this doesnt go away by @ 1yr she could need surgery- & I am SO not big on that idea- I'm sure I'd wait & delay that as long as possible. It doesn't hurt or bother her, just is annoying & looks bad.

Anyone have experience/insight about this??
